UCI WORLD TOUR ON ANALOG - PERSONAL PROJECT

Hello, I’m Sergi Mas de Xaxars, a photographer based in Girona.

After many years in the world of cycling, I felt the need to start a creative and demanding personal project to create something unique within the sport.

This project was born from the idea I started of photographing professional cyclists on analog film, as this format expresses unique stories.

Over time I wanted to go a step further and the idea emerged of showing how people so different share the same goal: performance. From there came the idea of creating a global collage that reflects the many different stories behind the UCI WorldTour.

My aim to make it happen is to keep it easy: take one single photo —the same for everyone— wearing their team kit.

I’d love to take more photos to tell fuller stories, but what I really need is at least one portrait. If you want to know my photographic style, you can see it in my portfolio.
